In 2018, a prominent horticultural exporter in Chile sought to modernize their Sphagnum moss processing. The primary challenge was the local climate; Southern Chile’s high rainfall and humidity levels made traditional air-drying impossible and caused processed material to “re-moisturize” before packaging.
