Case Study: Continuous Mesh-Belt Red Chili Drying Line (Yulin, Shaanxi)

Release time:2026-09-07

On August 28, 2026, Guoxin Group completed the commissioning and operational handover of an industrial multi-layer mesh-belt chili drying facility in Yulin, Shaanxi Province. Engineered specifically to process thick-fleshed, high-moisture fresh red peppers during peak harvest season, the line delivers continuous, automated drying while preserving natural color pigments and market grade.

2. Engineering Challenges & Technical Solutions

  • Preserving Color & Preventing Browning: High initial moisture content in thick red peppers risks scorching or darkening if exposed to excessive heat (>70℃). The Guoxin system utilizes multi-zone precision temperature controls (50℃-65℃), safeguarding natural carotenoid pigments and maintaining a vivid crimson finish.

  • Eliminating Case-Hardening: Rapid outer drying traps moisture inside thick pepper walls, causing internal mold growth. Gentle, multi-tier convective airflow extracts core moisture progressively as peppers turn between conveyor levels.

  • Automated High-Volume Intake: Freshly harvested peppers are dumped onto an inclined elevator with an automated spreader, ensuring an even layer depth across the belt width without manual labor bottlenecking.

3. End-to-End Processing Flow

  1. Intake & Automated Spreading: Bulk bags of raw red peppers are loaded into the receiving hopper. An inclined cleated elevator feeds material into an oscillating spreader to ensure uniform bed depth across the mesh belt.
  2. Multi-Tier Convective Drying: Material moves continuously through the insulated $SUS304$ chamber. Forced hot air penetrates from bottom-to-top and top-to-bottom across multiple tiers, turning the peppers gently at each belt drop for 360° drying contact.
  3. Continuous Discharge & Packaging: Dried red peppers exit smoothly via a cleated discharge belt directly into plastic-lined bulk sacks, ready for market distribution with zero crushed pods or color degradation.

 FAQ

Q1: Why is a multi-layer mesh-belt dryer preferred over static drying rooms for fresh chili processing?

Industrial mesh-belt systems process tons of fresh chili continuously without manual tray loading. The automated turning action between belt tiers eliminates hot spots, dramatically lowering energy consumption per ton of dried product.

Q2: What heat source options can be integrated into the Guoxin chili drying system?

Guoxin continuous dryers integrate flexibly with Air-Source Heat Pumps (maximum electrical power savings), Natural Gas Burners, Steam Heat Exchangers, or Clean Biomass Burners, depending on site energy availability.
