Xinjiang is one of the world’s premier production bases for industrial red peppers and paprika. During peak harvest season, massive volumes of fresh peppers arrive daily. Traditional outdoor sun-drying is increasingly unviable due to unpredictable weather, long processing cycles, dust/insect contamination, and severe color degradation.
To solve these challenges, a major agricultural processor in Xinjiang deployed Guoxin’s Commercial Air-Source Heat Pump Chili Dryer Room System.
On July 29–30, 2026, our field engineers recorded the real-time operational performance of this batch drying setup in Xinjiang.

The Xinjiang installation uses a heavy-duty, modular walk-in drying chamber paired with custom mobile stainless steel trolley carts:

Step 1: Raw Material Sorting & Specialized Rack Loading
Manual Inspection: Freshly harvested red peppers are sorted to remove damaged pods and debris.
360° Hanging Rack Setup: Workers hang or layer peppers vertically on specialized mobile trolley carts. Hanging the peppers maximizes surface exposure to circulating air, preventing moisture pockets and surface sticking.
Step 2: Trolley Loading & Chamber Seal
Multiple stainless steel trolley carts are loaded and easily wheeled into the insulated drying chamber on smooth caster wheels.
The heavy-duty insulated polyurethane panel doors seal tight, creating a closed thermal enclosure isolated from outdoor dust and humidity.
Step 3: Intelligent Dehumidification & Low-Temp Drying
The air-source heat pump unit generates controlled hot air (45°C to 65°C) while continuously extracting moisture from the air inside the chamber.
Water vapor condensed from the peppers is continuously drained out, while latent heat is recycled back into the chamber to minimize power usage.
Exceptional Color Retention: By operating at low to medium temperatures (45°C to 65°C), the heat pump drying cycle prevents capsanthin thermal breakdown and oil darkening. Peppers retain their vibrant deep red luster, commanding higher market wholesale prices.
Low Energy Consumption: Utilizing heat pump condensation technology, the system yields a high Coefficient of Performance (COP). It uses up to 70% less electricity compared to traditional electric heating tubes.
Uniform Hot-Air Circulation: High-volume circulating fans force warm dry air horizontally through every tier of the trolley carts. Every pepper dries at an identical rate without requiring manual turning.
Food-Grade Cleanliness: Stainless steel carts (SUS304) and sealed chamber walls eliminate contamination from mold spores, windblown dirt, or rain, ensuring compliance with food safety exports.
